「台美人傳統週」演出，敬邀各界參加
為慶祝五月份美國亞太裔傳統月及五月第二週的「台美人傳統週」，台裔各社團都會在美國各地舉辦各式各樣的慶祝活動，讓國際人士認識臺灣，促進臺美雙邊文化交流。
今年的台美人傳統週，華府地區將於五月18日下午六時半假馬州洛克維爾伍頓高中 (Thomas S. Wootton High School，2100 Wootton Parkway Rockville, MD 20850)，推出由國立台灣藝術大學舞蹈系表演的「台灣情，舞新意」專業舞蹈節目 Taiwan video 。該節目由僑委會支援，華府台灣同鄉會，台灣人青少年才藝基金會及洛克維爾市姐妹市促進會聯合主辦。
您想透過舞蹈的表演，帶朋友來認識台灣多元文化嗎?您想透過台灣的音樂，不用語言，也讓美國友人認識台灣嗎?該演出將以台灣多元文化為創作底蘊，將台灣自然景物與人文風情轉化成舞蹈藝術之美，引領觀眾感受一場充滿思古幽情而又兼具現代風華的文化體驗。我們希望以一場曼妙的舞蹈饗宴，呈現獨具特色的臺灣意象。
來吧！來吧！今年剛好是台灣關係法40週年，我們希望透過台美人傳統週來向美國友人介紹台灣，也傳達我們對美國支持台灣的感謝。
該演出需憑票入場。為贊助該團演出經費，主辦單位希望同鄉能發揮台美人的力量協助演出，請大家贊助演出入場券。一式兩張，贊助經費10元，兩票的目的為廣邀美國友人，一票自己觀賞，一票邀請國際友人前來參加，目標為讓更多美國朋友認識台灣！大家出錢出力，合力協助完成文化交流。請僑胞發揮國民外交的力量，讓我們都能夠盡一己之力來為台灣做國民外交，介紹台灣。

Theme: Spectacular and Creative Dancing from Splendid Taiwan
Descriptions:
The Department of Dance, National Taiwan University of Arts established the Da-Guan Dance Theater in 2005, by integrating artists from inside and outside the school, using multimedia, drama, music, and fine arts to actively present exquisite dance performances and create a new vision of dance arts. This year, the Da-guan Dance Theater is sponsored by the Overseas Community Affairs Council to hold the tour performance “2019 Taiwanese American Heritage Week and Asian Heritage Month in Canada”.
The Theater will give delicate presentations, reaching a broader audience of Taiwanese dance arts, strengthening the international cultural exchanges, and enabling our performances to cross the gap between language, culture and ethnicity to integrate the essences of Eastern and Western cultures, leading the trend of Taiwanese dance arts to achieve the international professional level. The Da-guan Dance Theater aims to cultivate high-quality dance arts professionals, and has actively participated in various international cultural and art exchange performances, playing the role as cultural leader. Through the visual banquet brought by the sparkling dancers, the audiences of the visited countries experience the beauty of dance arts, grasping the charm of Taiwan, joyfully recognized as Formosa and praising the Da-guan Dance Theater for its successful accomplishment in arts education.
